Not just TV Aerial Installation, we do TV Wall Mounts too.

TV Wall mounting in preston

So, like the title say’s, as well as doing TV aerial installation, we also do TV wall mounting including providing the bracket plus longer HDMI cables if required. Plus, upon request we also will provide trunking to hide away the power and HDMI cables etc. There are numerous wall brackets for televisions on the internet to buy and use. However, we prefer to provide our own, since we know the quality of them and the correct way to set them up without having to go back and forth to the instruction manual.

tv bracket with levelHaving carried out 100’s of TV installations we are very experienced with what can be and cannot be done. For instance, if a customer wants a type of bracket that allows the TV to be pulled away from the wall and swivelled either left or right, then the wall in which the bracket is to be fitted must be a solid brick or stone wall. The weight that even a light TV has will increase the strain on the wall plugs and bolts, when it is pulled out. So, fitting these kind of brackets to a stud wall is a no no. Using 3-4 inch bolts drilled into a solid wall is the only way, and using 8 – 12 of the bolts depending on the weight of the TV.

I recently did a TV wall mount in Preston the other week. The wall was a stud wall, but the bracket the customer wanted was a flat bracket with a tilt. This is the kind of bracket that can go on a stud wall. By using special cone plugs these are screwed in to the wall and then these are spaced out evenly across the wall where the bracket is to be fitted. Of course all the measuring and height positioning is done first. To get my brackets perfectly level, I will after screwing in the cone plugs, then fit a screw holding the bracket at one corner, I then level it up using a spirit level and then go about screwingtv wall bracket fitted in the rest of the screws keeping an eye on the level whilst doing this. This method I have found is the best way of achieving a perfectly level installation.

What I enjoy about doing these jobs is unlike a TV aerial installation being an outdoor job usually unless it is a loft aerial that is required. The TV wall mounting service on the other hand is always indoors, and during the winter months is  very much appreciated. Adding trunking to the wall in a straight line to hide the cable does in some cases finish the job off nicely, it also helps to stop the cables getting snagged on anything whilst walking past it.

TV Aerial Installation at the Snooty Fox in Kirkby Lonsdale

SNOOTYFOX KIRKBY LONSDALE

We were called in November to give a quote at one of the main pubs in Kirkby Lonsdale. The new owner had been refurbishing the rooms above the pub where patrons stay. Many of the rooms that were being fitted up in the pub were having problems with their TV’s. Some had certain channels missing, others had it where the picture would break up, and other rooms had no signal at all from time to time. So, we needed to take a good look at the aerial system that was currently installed and see if it could be repaired or sorted at all. Or, whether or not we needed to install a new aerial system.

To Replace the Aerial or to carry out an Aerial Repair

After taking a good look we decided that the best thing to do that would guarantee each room got uninterrupted TV, was to carry out a full TV Aerial Installation that would feed the 6 rooms via an aaerial installation kirkby lonsdalemplified splitter. The aerial system we would be setting up is very reliable, having installed many of this type over the years we’ve been fitting aerials. There are very few components to go wrong, so as long as it is all set up correctly in the first place, would carry on working for a very long time.

As for the existing cables and aerial we decided to uninstall and to take out anything that was part of the old system. Only where cables had been panted over and ripping them down would expose the old paint work and look a bit of a mess, did we leave those coax cables in situ. Everything else we took down.

The old aerial had served the best of its years, and was now no longer functioning properly due to the years on UK weather. Water had taken its toll, and had managed to get into the di-pole where it was drawn down the cable into the splitter, pretty much destroying that too. Most of the existing cables had got cracks in there protective sheaths and were letting water in at multiple points. Hence the reason to put in a new aerial system and to scrap the old one.TV Aerials Kirkby Lonsdale

To guarantee a quality television picture in each room and to split the signal coming in from the antenna, we used a 6 way masthead amplifier that had a variable 25db gain. This was employed because region where Kirkby Lonsdale sits is an area where the signal from the tv transmitter has trouble reaching and the signal when picked up is moderately good, but never strong. So if we are to split the signal 6 ways, we would need it to be amplified. Adding another 25db to the signal in which was reading 48db on average was an ideal solution to this problem. The end result was a TV aerial in each room with a signal of 58db on average, which is perfect for any Freeview TV.

Aerial Installation with a Lifetime Guarantee

After having set up the system and run the cable into each of the pubs hotel rooms, we tested the signal and then re tuned the TV’s to pick up the new stronger and clearer signal. The owner of the pub was very happy with the end results and also with how neatly we had run the cables on the outside of the building. If possible we always look to hide as much of the cable running on the outside of a building as we can, often installing it behind drain pipes etc, making the cable out of view. The whole job took us a day, but the weather was pleasant, which is unusual for a November.

Local Business in Manchester (Lancashire. UK)

The fortified town of Manchester had a number of cotton mills in earlier days. The town itself had more than a hundred cotton mills during the 1800s. Thereafter the number of cotton mills decline and the city was surpassed as the largest center of cotton spinning in the 1850s and 1860s. In that period, the city rises and became the financial center of the region. Still, Manchester continued to produce cotton and in 1913, more than half of the world’s cotton was processed in the area. The access to export markets was interrupted during the First World War and that paved way to cotton processing industry in other parts of the world. The machines were produced in Manchester and they suffered from the Great Depression and the underlying changes in structures began to supplant the old industries such as textile manufacture.

The Greater Economy

Alongside to the recovery of United Kingdom’s economy from the inclination experienced in 2008 to 2010, according to the latest figures, Manchester was compared favorably to other geographies. The strongest annual growth in business stock was shown in 2012, among all the Core Cities. A relatively sharp increase in the number of business deaths was also experienced by the city; it is the largest increase among all of the Core Cities. However, the strong growth was offset in new businesses which resulted in an obviously strong net growth. Manchester has a reputation for civic leadership in business acumen. The city owns two of the country’s four busiest airports and the earnings are used to fund local projects.

Some of the country’s most deprived and most affluent constituents can be found in the metro that made Manchester a city of contrast. The 4th most deprived local council in England is Manchester. The unemployment throughout 2012–2013 peaked an above the national average of 11.9 percent. But its way lower than comparable large cities. On the brighter side, Greater Manchester is home to more multi-millionaires than countries outside London, the city took up most of the tally.

The strong office market has been partly attributed in Manchester that entails the creation of jobs away from the overheated South to the areas where office space or rent is possibly cheaper, workforce market and manpower may not be as saturated. Women are well compensated in the city in terms of equal pay to men compared to the rest of the country.
